Canen Border Collies

Canen Starr and Canen Fox

Sarah Robson has two border collies - Canen Starr (aka Neo) and Canen Fox. Here's what Sarah has to say about them...

Canen Starr

Neo was born in Jan 2004. I had owned his brother, Bear (previous litter) but lost him in a tragic accident at only two years old. When I heard that Neo was available I felt that it was fate. Bear had been a very special dog and I hoped that Neo would follow in his paw prints.

At five years old Neo is absolutely in his prime and I couldn't be more thrilled with him. He competes very successfully in BFA flyball and is proving as fast and focused as Tigger (Canen Dipper), his older brother. At home he is a gentle giant who has an extremely sweet and gentle disposition. He has recently started agility, where he is doing really well and seems to be living up to the Canen name!!

Neo is from Trip out of Tyzz.

Canen Fox

At six months old Fox needed a home, he had lived with a family who couldn't cope with his high drive. I heard about him from friends who also own Canens. As Fox is out of Russ (brother to Trip - Neo's Dad) I couldn't resist him. I drove from Essex to Liverpool, a round trip of 15 hours in the end!!! It was so worth it!!! Once he learned who was boss, he was as good as gold. He is very similar to Neo in a lot of ways apart from his obsession with my ferrets - they are his sheep!!! LOL!!

His training is coming on very well, he excels in obedience (shame I don't enjoy it more) and his flyball is coming on well too. As Fox is little brother to Tinca and QuickSilva from the Live Wires Team, I have high hopes!!!
