After coming down the A55, get on to the A487 to Caernarfon. Stay on the A487 and about 0.5 miles from town look out for a TESCO store on the right.
At the third roundabout after the TESCO store turn left. This brings you to Groeslon where you turn left for CARMEL (signposted Carmel 1.5 miles).
When you get to the 30mph sign on the outskirts of Carmel continue on for about 100 yards and you'll see that the road splits into three - take the road on the extreme right. Proceed to the top of this road (between the council houses) then turn right.
Just after you've turned right you will pass a cream coloured house on the right with butterflies and ladybirds stuck all over it. Exactly 0.5 miles past this house take the first turning left (signposted CILGWYN TIP).
At the top of this road on the left hand side is CELTIC SLATE. Go to the end of their fencing and look ahead to the right. You should be able to see our street sign PARC BEL on the unmade lane.
In any event DO NOT follow the road round to the left after the Celtic Slate fencing.
If you have a precious vehicle or one with low ground clearance leave it by the street sign (being careful not the block the lane), otherwise drive right down the lane at your OWN RISK!! It's only 2 minutes walk anyway.
I should warn you that route planners are not much good for finding me. In particular, DO NOT download directions from the AA website - it will send you to Talysarn which is completely wrong. The RAC route planner is also completely useless for getting to my house (although it is worth a visit just to play with the rather cool interactive map). Also DO NOT use the Via Michelin website for directions to Canen as it will send you to Llanllyfni which is on the other side of the valley. Sat Nav doesn't seem to work all that well either, but if you're determined my postcode is LL54 6LF.
Using the instructions above no-one seems to have much trouble finding me, but if you do get lost phone me up on 01286 880491 and I'll talk you to my house. Failing that I'll send my husband, Brian, to come and find you!
