Standard Poodles
A beautiful, beautiful breed, alas now sadly sacrificed in the name of (so called) beauty, I could cry!
It's extremely unlikely that I will be breeding standard poodles again. However, the line goes on with George Gold. He breeds browns from Canen stock and can be contacted on 07818 636561 anytime (more or less).
A REAL poodle's head and expression -

Yesterdays poodles were healthy with no problems, these days addisons, sebaceous addenitis, van willebrands, eye troubles, hip troubles, and a shortened life span, just what has gone wrong?
These pics date back to the 1950 era showing the ton up kids Leighbribge Cherubino and Kismet of Cotewalls Cdx Udx Pd, both sired by Leighbridge Prince Igor and part of my stunt dog team at that time.

Grock (Kismette) could do 200 tricks without a word of command, she lived to be over 14 (her mother was put to sleep at the grand age of 18 years and was nearly 14 when she had her final litter (accident) but what an accident since Grock was one of the five pups!
The cream bitch below is Champion Playhouse Star Performer bred by me and owned by Bill and Janty Jobson. Note the short bracelets etc.

Sired by Champion Leighbridge Mystic Star out of Mottap Miranda.
These days I only keep a couple of poodles, but occasionally breed and I have some out on breeding terms. Suffice to say in all the years I have kept them (since 1953) my total vets bill for the breed, excluding vaccinations and final goodbyes has been £4 and that just for stitching up a wound!
To date I have never had anything tested for any of the afflictions to which this breed is now prone, since I have had no report of any trouble with anything I have sold. Many people are coming back for their 3rd or 4th off me. Say no more.

This is the fourth Canen Joan has owned in 45 years.
